Design direction
A minimalist galley in matte black, with no handles anywhere. Every door and drawer opens on an integrated grip or a push catch, so the cabinetry reads as a set of clean planes rather than a row of fronts.
Materials and finishes
Matte black slab cabinetry with a matching black counter, run without a tile backsplash — the wall above is simply painted, which keeps the horizontal line of the counter unbroken. A sculptural black extractor hood is the one piece allowed to project. Wide-plank timber flooring in a warm, rustic tone stops the scheme reading austere.
Layout and function
An L-shaped run puts the cooktop on the long wall and the sink under the window, with the return leg giving a landing zone by the door. Tall units at the far end absorb the ovens and pantry storage so the working walls stay uncluttered.
