Design direction
A two-tone scheme: natural stained wood on the working runs, deep green on the built-ins and island. The wood keeps it warm, the green gives it weight, and a custom hood in cream sits between the two as the room's focal point.
Materials and finishes
Natural wood shaker cabinetry with slim black and brass pulls, set against deep charcoal-green tall units and island. Counters and the range-wall backsplash are a white stone with soft grey veining. The custom hood is finished in cream with brass banding, echoed by the brass faucet, brass wall sconces, and the brass trim on the range. Pale wood flooring throughout, under an exposed timber beam.
Layout and function
The island seats three on one side and keeps its own prep surface on the other. A fireclay apron-front sink sits under the window in the wood run, with the dishwasher alongside. The range is centred on the green wall beneath the custom hood, flanked by drawer stacks — everything needed for cooking within one step.
